It can run in extremely cold temperatures, as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees Celsius). Simply plug it into the tool, run it lightly for a few minutes, and then the battery should be warm enough for your regular tasks. On top of a light weight and compact size, the battery boasts a free-standing base, a feature that will help you keep your tools upright. This is great for keeping them in storage, or, if you’re working with a work light, letting you work with both hands. These are awesome batteries. They last a long time compared to the standard batteries. I use a one inch auger bit for installing security cameras. It seems to last twice as long as my stock batteries. If you have one you know what I mean.

People are complaining that this battery isn’t covered by the factory warranty, and it isn’t. The seller only offers the standard Amazon 30 day warranty. The fact is, this is a good price for an OEM battery and chances are it will last a long time. If you use it on a daily basis, chances are, any problems it is going to have will happen in that 30 days. If you want the factory warranty, buy this battery from an authorized seller. If you want an OEM battery at a good price, buy it from here and take your chances. Weigh your options.

Lots of power, long shelf life, full power until the end, light weight,
you wouldn’t go back to a NiMh battery after using a drill with a lithium-ion. I have a Ridgid 18v hammer drill with the lithium-ion battery and never use my dewalt anymore. The dewalt battery always needs charged before using, its a NiMh, doesn’t hold a charge long. The ridgid battery can set for months and still go for hours before charging. The BMW of drills.

I recently purchased the 4-piece ridgid combo pack for work and it comes with the same lithium-ion batteries shown here. I do electrical work on a Marine Base. I mainly use a screwdriver, so it’s not like I use these tools constantly. It just seems like every time I go to use my tools, they need a charge. These Ridgid batteries just don’t seem to hold a charge for very long. I always take the battery off of whatever tool I happened to be using at the time. That way the Ridgid battery doesn’t drain as fast, but It doesn’t seem to really matter. These Ridgid batteries should last a lot longer than they do. Like the other review says, you’ll get about 2-3 hours of drill time maybe. Don’t get me wrong, I like my tool set. I just wish they’d last a little longer.
